News
The executives of Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA) wanted to know about the political unrest in Bangladesh in the beginning of March 2013 and became worried about possible low attendance in the 12th Conference of the Association (AsCA’2013). Bangladesh Crystallographic Association (BCA) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of AsCA’2013, explained the political situation of Bangladesh. We believe that the present political unrest will not be there in December 2013 and the political situation will not be in our way to hold AsCA’2013 from 01 -04 December 2013. BCA requested AsCA executives to allow us to organize AsCA’2013 since it is yet 8 months to inaugurate the conference. However, AsCA executives and councilors decided to shift the venue from Dhaka. BCA regrets to announce that the venue of AsCA ‘2013 has been shifted from Dhaka due to political unrest in Bangladesh. We are extremely sorry for the inconveniences that would cause due to the shift of venue of AsCA’2013.
